Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) webinar invitation
January 24th, 2020
Time (AST) 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

AAFC’s Science and Technology Branch established its Clean Technologies research, development, and technology transfer strategy nearly three years ago. The Strategy focuses on supporting the sector in reducing its GHG emissions and contributing to providing renewable alternatives to fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources in agriculture and other sectors. This portfolio has areas of focus related to the development and improvement of agricultural biomass feedstocks, valorization of agricultural wastes and residues, development of bio-based bioproducts and biologicals, along with technologies and practices, such as precision agriculture, towards mitigation of GHG emissions associated with agricultural production systems.

AAFC is now preparing to host a series of webinar events to showcase the work its scientists have been doing.Ìý Also invited to the series are university colleagues and other government departments with whom AAFC have been working on shared interests and initiatives.

The first theme is Biomass Feedstocks: Development and Production towards the Biorefinery Value Chain with an agenda of the following speakers:
