»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Research Services (DRS) is well underway in getting ready for the launch of the ROMEO researcher portal. The purpose of this portal is to provide the »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ research community with an online tool to streamline the application process at DRS.
Some of the useful features the ROMEO researcher portal will provide to researchers are:
· One-stop shop with the ability to manage the researcher’s full research portfolio
· A secure single-sign-on through MyDal using »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ NetID and password
· Submit applications to DRS from anywhere in the world with an internet connection
· Create faster turn-around times for processing research initiatives (pre and post-award stages)
· Electronic workflows eliminate the need for ink signatures from internal signing authorities
· A workflow log will provide updated information on how an application is progressing through reviews and approvals
We would like to thank all of the participants who took part in the recent preliminary testing of the portal and provided us with very useful feedback.
Currently, we are in the process of testing the forms and electronic workflows, as well as preparing for upcoming training opportunities. Our website, which will be under construction until November 2017, will include further details about the launch of the researcher portal, training documents and FAQs.
We expect the researcher portal will be launched in November 2017. Stay tuned for further information regarding training opportunities and more details about the launch.
