The European Commission's Horizon 2020 program has launched its 2017 calls for Individual Fellowships under its Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Actions. Two calls may be of particular interest to »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ faculty members:
1.     Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Global Fellowships enable early-career European researchers to have the opportunity to be trained and acquire new knowledge in a university or other research institution outside the EU. Fellows are generously funded for two years of research and training in an institution outside the EU, and return to their home institutions in Europe for a final one-year reintegration phase. Funding includes a contribution to research expenses and overhead/indirect costs at the hosting institution outside the EU.
2.     Marie Sklowdowska-Curie European Fellowships aim to attract experienced researchers from outside the EU to work and undertake research at a European institution for 1-2 years, with a view to developing mutually-beneficial research cooperation. The research project should be of strong interest for the European Research Area and help create long-term collaborations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Europe and the fellow's home country. Funding is provided for the researcher’s maintenance, plus research costs and overhead for the host organization in Europe.
The Global Fellowships provide an excellent opportunity for »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ faculty members to bring European postdoctoral scholars to »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥, to work under their supervision for two years; several Fellows have been successfully hosted by »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ in recent years.
The European Fellowships provide an opportunity for experienced »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ researchers to undertake long-term fellowships in European institutions.
More information for both of the above fellowships is available . The call for this competition is available .
Any researcher intending to apply is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator in »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca), for more information and support in preparing an application.
Deadline: 14 September 2017
