The MS Society of Canada and its affiliated Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation are pleased to announce that the 2017 Multi-Centre Collaborative Team Grant competition is now open. The Team Grant, which awards up to $4.5M in research funding, supports interdisciplinary networks of Canadian and international researchers who conduct innovative and transformative research in multiple sclerosis. It provides them the opportunity to leverage research and clinical knowledge and experiences across research expertise and regions, and apply that combined experience to achieve groundbreaking outcomes in understanding and treating MS.
The Team Grant competition is a two-stage process. Interested applicants are required to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) as part of the first stage. LOIs will be reviewed by a scientific expert committee and people affected by MS, and shortlisted proposals will be invited to submit a Full Application.
Please visit the MS Society’s for more information on eligibility, application process, and timelines.
The LOI application deadline is Friday May 5, 2017 at 16:00 EDT.
An FAQ teleconference is scheduled on Monday April 3, 2017 from 15:00 to 16:00 EDT. Please register at MSResearchGrants@mssociety.ca by Friday March 31 at 17:00 EDT to receive call-in details. Registrants are encouraged to forward any questions in advance.
