Any researcher interested in applying to a federal funder in the United States is reminded that facilitation of these applications is now being undertaken by staff in International Research & Development (IR&D), »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Research Services.
US federal funders include agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Congressionally-Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the US Department of Defense (DOD) and many others. Typically, applications for all such funders are submitted through the Grants.gov portal.
Given the added logistical requirements of US federal funding applications, any researchers planning to apply for such funding are asked to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) as far in advance of deadlines as possible, to register their interest and obtain support.
