UPDATE TO CREATE PROGRAM FROM NSERC: MARCH 15, 2017
"I am writing in regards to the latest communication about our Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program.
Let me start by acknowledging that we at NSERC take great pride in knowing that Canada’s university research community has fully embraced CREATE. The innovative research program encourages collaborative approaches, provides unparalleled training opportunities, and facilitates the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workforce.
Our community has expressed concerns about recently announced changes to the CREATE program (original email sent February 22, 2017). Clearly, further consultation with key stakeholders, including the Vice Presidents, Research, will take place before making any significant changes to the CREATE program.
It is with this in mind that I would like to take this opportunity to confirm that these changes will not apply to the .
Any additional questions regarding the CREATE program and the upcoming competition may be sent to CREATE@nserc-crsng.gc.ca."

Therefore an internal review of all applications is normally conducted to determine which LOIs will be submitted. Below are the internal deadlines that have been put in place for this process. For those currently involved in two CREATE grants, both must be ended before reapplying (see March 15 note at the top of this post).
