Requests for Proposals (RFPs) have been issued by the Atlantic Aboriginal Economic Development Integrated Research Program (AAEDIRP) for 2016-2017:
We have sent these RFPs out to consultants across the Atlantic Region. If you know of any university-based researchers you feel could complete this work in the short time frame we have, we would appreciate it if you could share the RFPs with them. Â
We realize the time frame for completion is very short, and understand that may mean that university-based researchers may not have the time to engage with us this year.
The limited time to complete the research is due to funding constraints. As discussed at the meeting in St. John’s, for the past couple of years the AAEDIRP funding has been challenging – limited to year-to-year, and arriving months past the due date.
We are requesting your support for our next funding cycle. We would very much appreciate it if, as a group, the Vice Presidents of Research could write a letter to support the AAEDIRP in a request to the federal government to renew our multi-year funding.
Multi-year funding would strengthen the partnership between the AAEDIRP and the Atlantic Region Universities, and promote more meaningful engagement with our community collaborators.
We appreciate your continued support for the AAEDRIP.
