Good afternoon,
Over the course of the last few years the Tri-Agencies (CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC) have undertaken the task of harmonizing their post-award policies (where possible) for award holders of research training programs. We are happy to report that these policies will provide greater flexibility and consistency to our awardees across the three agencies. These policies have now been incorporated into a harmonized Tri-Agency Research Training Award Holder’s Guide. This guide and the policies therein will be effective as of September 1, 2016 and will be posted to NSERC’s website in September 2016. (pdf).
While the original intent was to send a PDF version of the guide to institutions before the regional meetings being held in the next two weeks, there have been delays with the translation of the document. Therefore, e-copies will be sent via email as soon as they are available, before the end of August.
Please note that another message will be sent in September to inform institutions once the guide is accessible online.
Thank you,
Vanier-Banting Secretariat
