Alberta Land Institute Call for Proposals

Alberta Land Institute (ALI) at the University of Alberta welcomes interested researchers to submit a research proposal for our following research initiatives:ÌýÌý

1.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Natural Capital Accounting – Examining the Valuation of Agricultural Land, Stocks and Flows in Alberta.ÌýA maximum of $50,000 for the first year (research design phase), and potential additional funding for subsequent years of the study. This future funding is dependent on the results of the design phase and the proposed approach.

2.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Funding Payments for Ecosystem Services: Examining Legal and Economic Aspects of Private / Local Methods for Compensating LandownersÌý- A maximum of $50,000 for the first year (research design phase), and potential additional funding for subsequent years of the study. This future funding is dependent on the results of the design phase and the proposed approach.

Applicants (i.e., Principal Investigators) must be eligible to apply for Tri-Council funding (i.e. CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) through their respective academic institution.Ìý
