Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) requires a literature review and analysis summarizing scientific evidence on the mental health and well-being of military Veterans in the peri-release period of Military to Civilian Transition (MCT).The objective of this work is to enhance the mental health and well-being of CAF Veterans during MCT to facilitate an optimal transition to civilian life.
The Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) has entered into partnership with the Government of Canada to procure Research and Development Services related to the mental, social and physical wellbeing of active military members, Veterans and their families. CIMVHR is seeking Notices of Interest from qualified researchers or a research team to enter into a contract with CIMVHR to produce this Work.
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- An MD or a PhD in a relevant discipline;
- Demonstrated experience conducting the type Work required by the Statement of Work;
- Educational and work experience conducting research with military and/or Veteran populations
- Familiarity with military and/or Veteran issues
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in the area of mental health and well-being research
- A faculty appointment at one of CIMVHR’s 37 partner Universities ();
- Be able to meet project deliverables within stated timelines;Â

Qualified researchers may submit a notice of interest that includes:
- Their CV, and the CV’s of any research team members proposed if applicable;
- A 1-2 page document (500 words max.) listing relevant experience of the principal applicant and team members if applicable;
- A draft project budget and 1-2 page budget justification
